Listed shares of the Tata group were in the spotlight on Thursday, although Ratan Tata, who served as chairman of Tata Sons and headed various companies of the conglomerate for over 20 years, did not hold any shares in his personal capacity. The group’s 25 listed stocks ended mixed, with the group’s holding company Tata Investment up nearly 6 percent, while Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) ended down almost 1 percent ahead of the announces its quarterly results. As of last close, the group’s combined market capitalization stood at nearly Rs 34 trillion, making it India’s most valuable corporate group.
