Speculators’ net long positions in the pound increase | Capital market news

Large currency speculators have turned around and increased their net long position in British pound futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Non-commercial sterling futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net long position of 86,992 contracts in data published through September 24, 2024. This was a weekly increase of 24,013 net contracts.
