From the Maharashtra Maritime Board

JSW Infrastructure has received a letter of intent from the Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB) for “development, operation, management and maintenance of an all-weather and multi-purpose port at Murbe village in Palghar district of Maharashtra” on the basis of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) – Design, Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (DBOOT) model.

The proposed Murbe Port is designed to be an all-weather accessible multi-cargo commercial port. The proposed port is located close to major highways such as National Highway 8 and National Highway (Boisar Road) and rail corridors such as the Delhi-Mumbai Main Rail Route and the dedicated Western Freight Corridor.
